It is with an abundant of sadness and heartfelt sorrow that we have learned of the passing of a good friend, acquaintance and neighbouring farmer.
It was our most sincere pleasure to have know Jack and his family of the past 50 years or so. I even worked along side Jack at the YRSB for 3 years a few decades ago.
We fondly remember Jack, his lovely wife Grace, their determined son Jimmy and caring daughter Evelene when they embarked on the restaurant adventure on Hwy 48 south of Brown Hill. It was a fantastic going concern with great home cooked meals and standing room only on Suday's after church. I do believe that is where Jack got his dish pan hands from.
Jack always impressed me as a quiet, reserved person that was very smart, yet quiet. He was a gentle man and dedicated to his family and friends. But loved a good card game and a visit.
As of late, we would see each other at Club 55 for the Luncheon's. Jack could always handle a knife and a fork.
He will be fondly remembered by us always. We wish to offer our sincere condolences to his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. We are sorry we were away at the time of the service. But know that Jack is with the Lord now.
