Was fortunate to have spent time with Linda over the years planning and helping with her beautiful gardens. We had lots of wonderful conversations and both being Moms, most of these talks always led to our children. Linda was devoted to her family, and so very proud of each of her children and Grandchildren. Her eyes lit up when she talked about you all, her love for you is endless. She will never be forgotten.

When i was a girl, growing up across the street from the Sumblers in Port Credit, Linda was my hero. She was older than Karen and I, very beautiful, tall and elegant, and she always made us laugh. I will always remember Linda’s smile, the one captured so perfectly in the photograph the family has chosen to attach to the obituary. My heart goes out to the Hobson family, and especially to my sweet friends, Karen and Kay Sumbler. I am thinking of you, and sending all my love, Marlene Kadar

I first met Linda in my mom's painting class with Pauline Holancin. All the other artists were quite a bit older than I was except Linda. We discovered we were both born in 1945. She was a loving friend to my mom and then to me. She had a tremendous love and loyalty to her family and her many friends.linda loved life and the beauty that surrounded her, which she translated into her gorgeous paintings.
She was an inspiration to us all. I will miss her. Love, April

Dear David and family.
Linda was such a warm, wonderful, vibrant, beautiful and talented women. Harold and I will always treasure our time together with the 2 of you. The beautiful pieces of art that adorn our walls...."The Hobson's" as we like to call them, give us much joy, and are just a small piece of the beautiful legacy that she leaves. She was proud and strong throughout her difficult times, which spoke volumes about her character.
She will be dearly missed. Harold and I are here for you always....xo

Linda was indeed a beautiful woman, inside and out. We clicked immediately when we first met. Paul already knew Dave. We shared a love of painting, a love of family and grandbabies and a love of anything fairy related. Her most mesmerising smile is what I will hold dear in my heart. Her stoicism throughout her cancer journey was humbling. An inspiration to us all. We will miss Linda. Heaven just received a creative angel. Hugs to to Dave and all the family I heard so many loving stories of.

My sincere condolences to Linda's family. I met Linda through the Loft Gallery in Thornbury where I had the honor of purchasing one of her beautiful paintings. I had often crossed paths with her through the years at the Georgina Art Gallery and the annual local art studio tour. She was always smiling and was a truly talented and lovely lady. I am one of Linda's 'Painted Lady' students, and the memories of wonderful times in her
cozy studio abound. One time while painting, we all stopped and silently
watched as two deer made their way across the snowy backyard, then disappeared
through the cedars. We all looked at each other and smiled. Just one of the special moments of our close group friendship . We laughed, cried and bonded together.
Linda is now in a new and colourful world. May she continue her 'painterly' ways.
Much love to Linda's family, Pat and Enzo Palumbo
