Obituary of John Wentworth Dallimore

John Wentworth Dallimore Peacefully at Uxbridge Cottage Hospital, on Monday, January 22, 2018 at the age of 98 years. John Dallimore of Pefferlaw, fondly remembered by Shirley and her husband Kal Jakonen of Pefferlaw and Kallee-an Jakonen of Amherstburg. Predeceased by his sister Dolly Routley. John will be remembered for his faithful companion, his dog Velvet. John was a member of the 5th Canadian Anti-Tank Regiment, R.C.A., 57 years as a member of the Pefferlaw Lions Club and 25 years as a member of the Pefferlaw Fire Department, retiring as Chief in 1984. John operated Dallimore Appliances in Pefferlaw for 42 years. Resting at the Forrest & Taylor Funeral Home, 20846 Dalton Road, Sutton, today, Thursday, January 25th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Lions Club Memorial Service in the funeral home, Thursday at 6:30 p.m. followed by a Veterans Service Thursday at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service in the chapel, Friday at 1:30 p.m. Interment, Cooke's Cemetery, Pefferlaw.
