Nana Phyllis was a beautifully imperfect human, who was my rock. When I was feeling sick, she would put notes on the mirror that said 'You are beautiful. I love you.' She was thoughtful like this with so many. The staff at St. Peter's had such kind words about this dear, loyal and feisty soul.
She went through great pain over the years with shifts in health. I won't glorify what she went through, as it was hard to watch and even harder for her to experience.
What I will say is that hopefully, as she was a believer in Heaven, that she is at peace now.
We will be bringing her decorative scarves to the funeral, like the one shown in the picture, that we offer you to wear and take home. It will be a colourful way to honour her.
