It saddens my heart to have learned of the passing of a dear and delightful friend from my teen aged years. Though time has a way of changing friendships, I will never forget the wonderful times we shared. Every moment together was filled with fun, laughter, wit and spontaneity.
Lisa will always be cherished like a favourite song filled with love.

I was so sorry to hear about Lisa's passing today. I remember Lisa from the "gang" down at the bottom of Rockaway Road. My mother, Eileen Sheppard, Mrs. Madracki, Lisa, and I used to sit and watch the kids swim and have very colourful discussions about life. She was so kind and beautiful to my mother, showing respect for her but, also they were real friends. What I always respected about Lisa was her love for her children. Her face lit up when she looked at them and spoke of them. She was a wonderful mother and wife and I just wanted to let you know that I will always remember her that way. Take care xo Nancy Rychel

How lucky we were to have Lisa in our lives - a cousin, friend, an amazing mother and wife. She has touched our hearts with her wit; sometimes twisted, here generosity, her talents and most of all her passion to embrass and enjoy life. A one of a kind! Love you forever...XO

My mom and sisters and I spent many summers with Lisa and her family at Rockaway Beach. We made a lot of trips to the sandbar and had some great discussions. She was kind to my mom and always shared her love of baking with us which we always appreciated.
Our condolences to Ross, Emma and Jaret.
Rest In Peace Lisa

I am so sorry for your loss. I opened the paper today and was shocked and saddened to read of Lisa's passing. I met Lisa at a Zumba class around 3 years ago at the St. Bernadette's school. I instantly liked Lisa - she had a wicked sense of humour and we would laugh our heads off at what a mess I made of the steps. Although I have not seen her in a couple of years, I have never forgotten how much fun we had at class. My thoughts and prayers are with you Ross and your children.

I may have known it was coming, but the passing of my dear friend, Lisa Fattori, still tugs at my heart strings. She was such an inspiration to everyone she met. Not only a very talented writer and interviewer, but such a damn fine cook -- I loved attending her dinner parties. I am praying for her husband, Ross, as he has to now carry on without his beloved partner and wife. Her love for her husband and children were so evident -- every family event was a special occasion. I'm just so glad that I was friends with her! Rest in Peace, Lisa -- you'll be solely missed!

Ross & Family, thinking of you at this very difficult time.
For some reason, the things that I remember might be considered the silliest. Lisa would often say that most of our problems could be solved by eating red meat. To this day I wonder if she was getting kick backs from the Canadian Cattlemen's Association.
Another thing that brings a smile to my face is Lisa's uncanny ability for improvisation. While in mid conversation, she would instantly change her whole persona by doing an impersonation that could be related (or totally unrelated) to the topic. This always made me laugh.
I will miss the times we shared and hold on to the memories.
My sincere condolences to you Ross, Emma and Jaret.
