Bowman, Alan Wesley Peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Monday, December 11th, 2017at the age of 85 years. Alan is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years Marion (nee Mailey). He was the proud father of six children Cheryl (Gloria), Karen (Lembit), Michael, Chris (Christine), Guy (Jessica) & Janine (Jeff), grandfather to19 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother George Doble Bowman, and sister Gwendolyn Jeanne Culbert. Alan enjoyed watching and playing sports, and was a talented basketball and tennis player. Alan was the point guard on Andy's A.C. and earned the nickname "the Mighty Mite". Alan had a passion for music, which he appreciated at the loudest volume tolerated, old black & white movies, and always had a story or a joke to bring a smile to your face. He was a hardworking man, and a very proud co-owner of Maynard Nursing Home. He will be loved and remembered in our hearts and minds forever. God speed Alan -- we love you madly. Alan's life will be celebrated in the Humber Room of the Old Mill, 21 Old Mill Road, Toronto, on Saturday, December 16th from 1 – 4 p.m. with Remembrances at 1:30 p.m. and lunch at 2:30 p.m..
