John was the kindest, most generous, loveliest man. He had so much love and pride in his family, and has left a wonderful legacy in them. I feel very privileged to have met him,and send much love to all the family at this very sad time. X
John, Jonesy, was a special man as the many notes of condolence show. And Barb was his perfectly matched spouse. These were two of the finest people one could ever know. Jonesy was a classmate in St John's and we only reunited in 2003 at a school reunion. Since that time I had the pleasure and privilege of spending time with him and Barb. I echo completely the many comments about his and their kindness and good humour. Near the end, in typical Jonesy fashion, he was more focussed on Barb's struggle than his own. Perhaps there is a bigger plan so the notion that they leave us together isn't a bad one. Kudos to their kids for their dedication and love at the end.
